Brief report:
The Webinar commenced with an opening address by the host of the event.
Mr. R.Lalnunthara, Vice Principal and Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, HATIM welcomed the participants and the resource person for the evening as he betone the importance of Insurance in our today’s world. He also highlighted the purpose of the webinar to orient the participants.
The host took over the session with an introduction about the honoured resource person – Prof. Bharthendu Singh, Department of Commerce, Mizoram University. Through this introduction, it has come to the light of the attendees that the resource person has published over 40 papers in journals, edited books and proceedings. He has authored/edited 06 books. He has presented over 55 papers in different national/ international seminars. He is member of many academic and administrative committees and academic & professional bodies.
The resource person took over the session.
The speaker first addressed the importance of Financial Planning where he mentioned the various combination of financial products which he considered as “the most important determining factors of insurance such as Cash flow (income and expenditure), Savings and investment, Tax planning, Retirement, and other estate planning.” His second lecture focused on Life Insurance with its various types.
The informative lecture was followed by an interactive session where around ten (10) questions from the participants were addressed by the speaker.
The program ended with a vote of thanks given by the coordinator of the webinar.
An e-certificate was handed out to the attendees who had filled up the feedback form.
